Muslim League is virus, Congress infested with it: Yogi Adityanath

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and BJP leader Yogi Adityanath said on Friday that Muslim League is like a “deadly virus” and the Congress party is infested with it. He further said that if Congress and the Muslim League win the election then the virus would spread across the nation.

“Muslim League is a virus. The type of virus which if somebody is infested with cannot be saved and today the principal Opposition party Congress is infested with it. Just think if they win then what will happen? The virus will spread across the nation,” tweeted Adityanath.

In a subsequent tweet, he said: “In the 1857 war of independence, the whole nation stood with Mangal Pandey and fought the British, then this Muslim League virus came and spread in such a manner that the nation was partitioned. Again the same fear is hovering, the green flags are again waving. The Congress is infested with Muslim League virus. Beware!”

Rahul Gandhi on Thursday filed nomination for the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat, a Muslim League stronghold, in Kerala. Congress is contesting 16 out of 20 Lok Sabha seats in Kerala leaving four seats for its allies – two for Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) and one each for Kerala Congress (Mani) and Socialist Party (RSP).

PM Narendra Modi remained up all night after monitoring Balakot strike

Prime Minister Narendra Modi remained awake till the early hours the night the Indian Air Force carried out the Balakote strikes to avenge the murder of more than 40 jawans in Pulwama terror attack.

The Prime Minister told ABP News that he stayed awake on the early morning of February 25 and browsed the Net to see how the world would react after India bombed the terrorist-training camp in Balakote.

“When at 3.40 am I was told that the operation was over and our forces had returned safely, I did not sleep, I browsed the internet to see if there was any reaction anywhere in the world,” PM Narendra Modi told the television channel.

He revealed officers updated him every minute. “Even if there is a major accident in India, I keep following it up. How can I sleep if I know the operation is going to happen?” he said in the interview.

He added that it was only around 5.30 am that a Pakistani official tweeted about the operation. “After that I called all the officials concerned for a meeting, around 7 am”, the PM said.

On the Opposition leaders asking for proof of the Balakot strike, the Prime Minister said: “The biggest proof is the tweet by the Pakistan official, we did not publicise the operation, they did.”

In the early hours of Feb 25, IAF struck a Jaish-e-Mohammed camp in Pakistan’s Balakote in retribution of Feb 14 Pulwama terror attack. More than 40 jawans were killed in the attack in Pulwama. Soon after the strike, at 5.36 am, spokesperson of Pakistani Armed Forces Major General Asif Ghafoor tweeted about the operation.

The problem is that Pakistan cannot complain about Balakot operation beyond a point, because they will then have to admit that IAF struck a terrorist camp, PM Modi added.

On being asked on the future of India, Pakistan diplomatic relations, PM Modi said: “For that, they will have to stop exporting terror”.

Giving a case of India’s relations with China, the PM said that we had differences and disputes with them as well. However, we talk about bilateral issues, do business.

Your chowkidar will go after terrorists, even in hell: Modi tells UP poll crowd

Addressing an election rally in Uttar Pradesh’s Amroha on Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said he would like to thank the Government of UAE and people of UAE for honouring him with the Zayed medal.

“This is not an award given to him but to the Indian people,” Modi added.

Taking a dig at the opposition, Modi said replying to terrorists in their own language is not liked by some people. “When India hits back at the enemy, some people here start crying. When Pakistan is being exposed in front of the world these people start speaking in support of Pakistan,” he added.

Continuing his attack, Modi said terrorists became bold because of the soft attitude of the Congress, SP and BSP.

He told he crowd attacks had stopped in last five years because they had appointed a ‘chowkidar’ in Delhi and terrorists know Modi will go after them even in hell.
