After what seems like an eternity, Marvel Studios released the endlessly-hyped trailer for Avengers 4, which has been titled Endgame.
The trailer shows the emotional wreckage that Thanos had left behind in Avengers Infinity War (which we are still not able to recover from).
The trailer begins with a desolate Tony Stark in space, recording a message for Pepper Potts, just in case he would not be able to make it. Tony and Nebula had been stranded on Titan at the end of the previous film, after Thanos had wiped out half of the world’s population, with just a snap of his fingers.
The scene cuts to Earth, where Black Widow, Bruce Banner and Steve Rogers are doing their best to devise strategies. “Thanos did exactly what he said he was going to do,” Natasha said. “He wiped out 50% of all living creatures.”
Captain America echoes what all the fans have been saying for a while, “We lost all of us. We lost friends, we lost family, we lost a part of ourselves. This is the fight of our lives.”
We get a glimpse of Hawkeye, and that’s leaving us a little teary-eyed.
After the trailer hit the web, there has been frenzied speculation and theories. Will the other Avengers be resurrected-that being the most poignant and painful question for all fans.
And then we see the enigmatic title, Endgame. There had been several titles floating around on the internet, including Annihilation.
Avengers Endgame, starring Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, has been scheduled for April 2019 release.
