Vivo X21 with under-display fingerprint sensor to launch in India 

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo is reportedly planning to launch its latest mid-range smartphone in India – the Vivo X21.

The phone, which happens to be the only mass-production smartphone to feature an under-display fingerprint sensor, was recently unveiled in China.

And now, the phone is set to launch in India by the end of this month, according to a report by 91mobiles.

Vivo X21 is expected to cost upwards of Rs. 30,000

The Vivo X21 features a 6.28-inch full-HD+ (1080×2280 pixels) Super AMOLED notch-based display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and 90.3% screen-to-body ratio.

It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, paired with an Adreno 512 GPU, 6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB inbuilt storage options.

The phone runs FunTouch OS 4.0 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo and packs a 3,200mAh battery with fast-charging support.

For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers 

The X21 sports a rear dual-camera setup with a 12-megapixel, f/1.8 aperture primary sensor and a 5-megapixel, f/2.4 aperture secondary sensor and a LED flash.

On the front, the phone’s iPhone X-like notch houses a 12-megapixel, f/2.0 aperture camera which offers AI-based features such as IR fill light for low-light photography, 3D mapping, and Face Wake facial recognition.

Connectivity options and onboard sensors 

For connectivity, the Vivo X21 includes 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, USB 2.0 with OTG support, and GPS. In terms of onboard sensors, the phone comes with an under-display fingerprint sensor, gravity sensor, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and gyroscope.
